Bubbles helps you and your barkada keep track of shared bills. This page explains what we keep, why we keep it, and how to delete it.
What we collect
- Email address, to sign you in.
- Display name and avatar, so friends in your groups know it's you.
- Receipt photos you attach to an expense.
- Payment QR images and the account name and number you add, so friends can pay you.
- Group and expense data: your groups, who's in them, expenses, items, splits and payments.
- Push token for your phone, if you turn on notifications.
- Crash reports with technical details about the error and your phone, so we can fix bugs.
Why we collect it
Only to run Bubbles: to sign you in, work out who owes whom, show your friends how to pay you, and tell you when something needs you. We don't use it for ads.
Where it's stored
Your data is stored with Supabase, in their Singapore region. Photos and QR images are kept in private storage. Only people in a group with you can see your name, avatar, payment details and that group's expenses.
A few services help us run the app: Supabase (database, sign-in and storage), Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications), Resend (sign-in emails) and Sentry (crash reports). They only get what they need to do that job.
We don't sell it
We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers. We don't use it to track you across other apps or websites.
Deleting your account
In the app, go to You → Delete account. This erases your account. In groups you were in, you stay as a placeholder so your friends' balances still add up.
